Factory Facelift Competition for Students

You know the old saying about the cobbler’s kids? Here at Cembrit, one of Europe’s leading manufacturer’s of fibre-cement cladding products, we’ve come to realize that our own facades could use some touching up.
 

We Want “Wow!”

We’re looking for a fresh, future-forward look that will impress clients and visitors, so we’re asking for help from the architects and designers of tomorrow. The winning entry will make good use of Cembrit’s latest innovations to create a serious “wow!” effect.

What’s the Prize?

The winning entry will take home 5000 euros, with other monetary prizes for runners up.
 

Who Can Participate?

If you’re an architecture or design student studying at a university or school of art and design in Finland, you’re eligible to participate – either by yourself or with a team of other students.
 

Important Dates

• The first 50 participants to sign up before 15 November 2010 will get an in-person tour of the area at the end of November.
• The deadline for submission is midnight, 31 December 2010 (that’s New Years’ Eve, we strongly suggest you don’t wait that long).
• The winners will be announced in February 2011 and work will begin on the new facades later in the spring.
